A 33054 Flex-a-lite variable speed control will help to maintain a more uniform engine temperature and that helps reduce current spikes and load on your vehicle's charging system. The 33054 speed control mounts on or near the electric fan and it senses coolant temperature via a probe in the radiator or a temperature sending unit. It will then set the fan speed from 60 to 100 percent, depending on the thermostat's built in setting. The 33054 Flex-a-lite variable speed control allows a maximum load of 30 amps and will keep your fan running for 30 seconds after the vehicle's engine has been shut off.
